The problem on a busy delivery day
Evri parcels tend to arrive in a wide delivery window, and where they are left depends on the courier and the day. If you are not in, the parcel might go to a safe place, to a neighbour, or back to the depot for another try.
For one parcel that is a minor annoyance. For a week with several Evri orders on the way to the same address, it means parcels scattered between the porch, next door and the depot, and no single place to see which is which.
Evri's divert option fixes that, but you have to catch each parcel at the right stage, one tracking page at a time.
How Evri ParcelShop diversion works
This is Evri's own option for recipients, offered through the Evri app and the tracking page. Evri calls it diverting a parcel.
- Evri has to have the parcel first. Before that, tracking only says Evri is expecting it.
- You confirm the delivery postcode, then choose a ParcelShop or locker from the ones offered.
- There is no date to pick. The parcel is simply sent to the place you chose.
- Evri sends a collection code when the parcel is ready. Take that and ID.
- ParcelShops and lockers hold parcels for a limited number of days before returning them to the sender.
- Not every parcel is eligible. Senders can switch diversion off, and large or high-value parcels are sometimes excluded. A parcel might be offered a ParcelShop but not a locker, or the other way round.
What you get with Minted
The diversion booked for you
Switch on auto-book for an Evri parcel and choose a ParcelShop or locker. Minted books it when Evri offers the option.
A clear answer either way
If Evri will not offer the option for a parcel, your tracker shows it, so you can plan to be in.
The postcode kept with the parcel
The delivery postcode stays attached to the parcel, so the right one is always used.
A message when it is booked
You get a notification in Minted, and in Discord if you have connected it.
Evri next to every other courier
The parcel stays on your tracker, marked as redirected, alongside Royal Mail, DPD, UPS and FedEx.
Told when it moves
You hear when the status changes, so you know when it is ready to collect.
